klay is more than just a place to paint and sip. At its heart lies the story of four women from different walks of life who came together to build something meaningful, creative, and entirely their own.

Founded by Victoria, Trish, Rahel, and Gil, klay is a proudly woman-owned business born from friendship, a love for art, and the belief that magic happens when women support each other.

We each bring something unique to the project, from design and interiors to hospitality and digital marketing – but we’re united by a passion for creating experiences that bring people together.

What began as a dream among friends is now a cozy, welcoming space where anyone can get creative, enjoy good food, feel right at home, and most importantly, have fun.

klay is our labor of love – for Bali, for community, and for women who create their own path.

Victoria

I’m Victoria, originally from Germany, but I’ve lived abroad for more than 10 years now, with Bali being my second home.

So many of us struggle to include a bit of creativity and art in our daily lives. For me, klay is that creative outlet and a way for me to empower other women to do exactly what they want to do.

With my background in digital marketing, SEO, and copywriting, I knew klay was exactly the type of project I’ve been waiting to bring to life. As someone who enjoys networking, meeting new people in similar fields, and especially other female business owners, nothing excites me more than the opportunity to create a space designed for just that.

I love ceramic painting, but for me, klay is about so much more. It’s about allowing art into our daily lives, about taking a moment away from the constant pressure to be productive and finding joy in creating something with your friends.

Trisna

Hi! I’m Trisna – a proud mom of four wild, wonderful boys and a lifelong people person with a background in hospitality. I spent eight amazing years working in the hospitality industry, creating memorable experiences for guests and loving every moment of it. Then, I hit pause on my career to focus on my most demanding (and rewarding!) role yet: being a full-time mom.

After five years of living in a world of laundry, lunchboxes, and LEGO battles, I’ve decided it’s time to rediscover me again: the social, creative, let’s-make-everyone-feel-welcome version of me. I miss meeting new people, hearing their stories, and being part of something vibrant.

So… I’m starting a new chapter! Along with four of my amazing girlfriends, I’m opening a ceramic painting bistro called klay.

klay is a woman-owned business, but it’s a space for everyone. Whether you’re here for the art, the eats, or the atmosphere, you’re welcome just as you are.

This is more than a business for me: it’s a way to reconnect with people, with creativity, and with the joy of building something beautiful from scratch (literally and figuratively).

Rahel

My name is Rahel and I was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2018 I traveled to Bali for the first time and quickly fell in love with the island. Since part of my family lives here, I’m lucky to return often and feel a special connection to this place.

Creativity has always been my balance to a sometimes hectic career in real estate. That’s how I discovered ceramic painting. It allows you to slow down, take a mindful moment for yourself, or share a joyful experience with others all while creating a long lasting memory to take home.

With my background in interior design, it was important to me to create a space that feels inspiring and beautiful yet letting the ceramic pieces and the people painting them shine. For me, klay is all about community. Meeting like-minded people or simply enjoying time on your own. Feeling welcome, and taking pride in doing something just for yourself.

Gilga

I’m Gilga, born in Bandung and based in Bali for the past nine years. Art has always been my passion – it’s the thread that connects everything I do. I started out painting murals and teaching art, sharing creativity with others in a hands-on way. Over time, my path expanded into graphic design, where I’ve been able to bring the same sense of expression and storytelling into digital form.

Along the way, I’ve worked with international clients on branding, illustration, and design projects, combining my background in fine art with a modern design approach. This mix allows me to create work that feels both thoughtful and expressive.

At klay, I bring that passion for art into the space, making creativity approachable, playful, and inspiring for everyone who walks through the door.
